The Grade 1, $1.25 million Runhappy Travers Stakes, also known as the “Mid-summer Derby,” drew a terrific crowd Aug. 24 at Saratoga Race Course, where great racing and a beautiful day in the low 70s greeted racing fans. Always a highlight of the Saratoga meet and an important race in determining the hierarchy of 3-year-old male division, the Travers Stakes celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2019.
