Description:

The Meadowlands Racetrack will kick off the first of 10 all-turf Thoroughbred cards Friday, Oct. 11.

The fall Thoroughbred meet will be the last at the existing East Rutherford, N.J. track, which first opened for business in 1976.

Post time for the Monmouth-at-Meadowlands Thoroughbred meet, with free parking and admission, will be 2:15 p.m. ET, with gates opening at 11:30 a.m. Live racing will be offered on Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays through Nov. 2, with the exception of Oct. 21, which will be idle.

Friday's opener has drawn 76 entries over six races, headlined by the fifth race, a $30,000 allowance/optional claiming event at one mile.

New to the wagering menu will be the Jersey Six, which is the exact same wager as Monmouth Park's Jersey Shore Six. A 10-cent base wager, it debuted at Monmouth Park this summer. To win the jackpot, a ticket must have the winner of all six races on the card and be the only one to have done so.

If more than one person has a winning ticket, they split 60% of the net pool with 40% going to the carryover.
