The April 2-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age Sale—which this year produced $1 Million TVG Pacific Classic (G1) winner Higher Power and Ginger Punch Stakes winner Supercommittee—will return April 7, Keeneland announced Aug. 27.

Higher Power earned an automatic berth in the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) with his victory in the Pacific Classic. David Ingordo, on behalf of owner Hronis Racing, purchased the 4-year-old Medaglia d'Oro  colt at the 2019 April Sale for $250,000 from Stidham Racing, agent.

Supercommittee, a 4-year-old filly by The Factor , won the Ginger Punch Stakes at Gulfstream Park in June. She was consigned by ELiTE, agent, and sold for $120,000 to Meah/Lloyd Bloodstock.

"The April Sale continues to enhance its rich history of producing top-quality 'Saturday horses,'" said Bob Elliston, Keeneland's vice president of racing and sales. "We thank our consignors and buyers, who showed their support for this year's return of the April Sale with strong participation. We look forward to building on its success next year."

Keeneland reinstated the April Sale in 2019 following a four-year hiatus. During the single-session exercise, 67 horses sold for $6,083,500, for an average of $90,799, and a median of $40,000. Topping the sale at $1.3 million was Miss Tapirado, a 2-year-old daughter of Tapit  out of grade 1 winner My Conquestadory who is a full sister to graded stakes-placed Bourbon War.
