Candy Ride  colts offered by Kentucky breeder Don Robinson had a big day during the Sept. 14 session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, with one colt selling for $650,000 after another was sold earlier for $1 million.

Consigned as Hip 1109 by Robinson's Winter Quarter Farm, agent, the $650,000 colt was purchased by Sapphire Stable.

Bred in Kentucky by Ron and Deborah McAnally, the colt is out of the Empire Maker  mare Charm the Maker.

Trained by Ron McAnally for Deborah, Charm the Maker won three races, including two stakes, while placing in the Hollywood Starlet (G1) and Oak Leaf Stakes (G1) among other stakes-placings.
