Empire Maker Yearlings Continue to be In Demand

Description:

Demand for yearlings by Empire Maker  continued during the fourth session of the September Yearling Sale when a colt sired by the leading sire was purchased by SF Bloodstock, Starlight Racing, and Madaket Stables for $775,000.

Consigned by Lantern Hill Farm as Hip 763, the colt named Classier was bred in Kentucky by Mary Sullivan, who purchased the yearling's winning Bernardini dam, Class Will Tell, for $300,000 at the 2013 Keeneland September Sale.

Class Will Tell is a half sister to group 3-placed Music Chart and to the dam of French group 3 winner Homerique.

Earlier in the session, agent Ben McElroy bought an Empire Maker colt (Hip 638) out of Spare Change (by Bernardini) for $550,000 from Denali Stud, agent.
