Flaxman Holdings' Main Sequence, champion turf male and champion older male, continued to progress toward his 2015 debut after working five furlongs in 1:00.30 at Palm Meadows Training Center Monday, Jan. 26.
The work was the third fastest of 16 at the distance and was the third work recorded this year at Palm Meadows by the son of Aldebaran.
Main Sequence is a candidate for the grade I Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap Feb. 7. Other major turf stakes at the Gulfstream meet are the one-mile Canadian Turf Stakes (gr. IIIT) Feb. 21, the 1 1/2-mile Pan American Stakes (gr. IIIT) March 28, and one-mile Appleton Stakes (gr. IIIT) the same day.
Main Sequence, who was also bred by Flaxman Holdings, currently is riding a four-race winning streak, all grade I stakes, since coming to the United States last year and being turned over to trainer Graham Motion.
