Stakes winner Champagne Glow was humanely euthanized at the age of 31 due to the infirmities of old age. Owned by Jim and Pam Robinson's Brandywine Farm near Paris, Ky., the daughter of Saratoga Six had been pensioned there since 2013, living with a small band of other retired mares.

Bred in Florida by Lin-Drake Farm and Eaton Farms out of the L'Enjoleur mare Champagne Ginny, Champagne Glow showed early talent as a racehorse, placing second in the 1990 Frizette Stakes (G1) to champion 2-year-old filly Meadow Star. She would ultimately retire in early 1992 with three wins and three seconds from 17 starts and earnings of $128,250.

As a broodmare, Champagne Glow is the dam of 11 winners from 15 registered foals. Her successful offspring include Champagne d'Oro, a daughter of Medaglia d'Oro  who took both the Betfair TVG Acorn Stakes (G1) and Test Stakes (G1) in 2010, and 2011 Belmont Stakes (G1) winner Ruler On Ice (by Roman Ruler). Raced by Southern Equine Stable and Mike Smith, Champagne d'Oro sold in foal to Tapit  at the 2013 Fasig-Tipton November Sale for $2.7 million to Shadai Farm.

The Robinsons retained her final daughter for their broodmare band, a Roman Ruler filly named Champagne Ice, and will also add her granddaughter out of Champagne Ice, Champagne Humor, at the conclusion of her racing career. Trained by Antonio Sano, 2-year-old Champagne Humor has placed twice in black-type stakes, having most recently placed third in the Sharp Susan Stakes Aug. 31 at Gulfstream Park

Champagne Glow was buried on the farm.
