Motivator offered a reminder of his talents as Hopeful provided the Haras du Quesnay stallion with his most significant victory of the year so far in the Sept. 30 Prix de Conde (G3) at Chantilly.

Very much best-known as the sire of the wonderful Treve, as well as group 2 winner Pallasator, Motivator's biggest wins this season have come through Time to Study in Haydock's Betfair Exchange Old Borough Cup and the lightly-raced Hamish in the Sky Bet Melrose Handicap at York as well as a couple of listed events in France.

Motivator has had the notable support of the Wertheimer family, in whose blue and white silks Hopeful runs.

Her dam, Monst, who is of smart Argentine extraction and the winner of a minor race at Nimes, is beginning to make her mark from three foals to race but has no further registered progeny.

Hopeful's 3-year-old half brother, Architect, was off the mark on debut for the Wertheimers in the spring at Tarbes but has been beaten in better company since.

The gelded juvenile had already shown a far higher level of form, making a winning debut for Carlos Laffon-Parias at Deauville and chasing home exciting stablemate Ecrivain in the Prix des Chenes (G3) at ParisLongchamp earlier this month.

Hopeful confirmed placings with Charlie Appleby's Al Dabaran by a sufficient half-length in a race that trainer won with subsequent Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1T) winner Line of Duty 12 months ago.
