Description:

Godolphin's fourth annual Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards will be streamed live Oct. 11 at noon ET on www.godolphinUSawards.com.

The ceremony will be held at the Keeneland sales pavilion and will honor and recognize individuals for their hard work in Thoroughbred racing and breeding. With the addition of a new Administration Award, seven categories will be featured with a total of $128,000 in prize money being distributed.

The first of the two shortlist judging panels met Aug. 13 at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., to decide the finalists and the Community Award winner. The second and final stage of judging took place Oct. 10 and decided the winners in the six remaining categories.

The shortlist panel was composed of Dan Fick, chairman of Racing Officials Accreditation Program; Ramiro Restrepo, market representative for Fasig-Tipton; Maggie Wolfendale, paddock analyst and reporter for the New York Racing Association; Cate Johnson, director of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame; and Stuart Angus, sales account manager at Taylor Made.

"Godolphin and Sheikh Mohammed—in partnership with the National HBPA, TOBA, The Jockey Club, and Breeders' Cup—have been underwriting these awards for four years now, and they have quickly become a very important part of our industry's landscape," Fick said after the first round of judging panels concluded. "Without the support of Sheikh Mohammed, these hard-working individuals might not truly get the acknowledgement and recognition they deserve for the important work they do."
