Beau Valley Stable has set the stud fee for its entering sire and Canadian classic winner, Coltimus Prime , at CA$2,500, the farm announced Oct. 4.

Coltimus Prime is an 8-year-old son of Milwaukee Brew , whom Adena Springs recently decided to pension.

"We are thrilled to have Coltimus Prime, the heir to Milwaukee Brew, standing at stud and representing western Canada," said Michael Hoffman, trainer and manager of Beau Valley Stable located near Didsbury, Alberta. "Bringing a young sire to the western Canada market is a fresh change, and it aligns with the excitement of the two new world-class racing facilities that we have north of Calgary—Century Downs and Century Mile."

Coltimus Prime won the 2014 Prince of Wales Stakes at Fort Erie and was named Panama's 2017 champion older horse and champion stayer after winning the Clasico Presidente de la Republica (G1). He also won the 2017 Invitational Cup Stakes at Gulfstream Park as part of the Clasico del Caribe program. Coltimus Prime was retired with an 8-7-5 record out of 38 starts and earned US$644,125.
