Jim and Susan Hill's Totally Boss, winner of the Runhappy Turf Sprint Stakes (G3T) at Kentucky Downs in his most recent start, worked a half-mile in :48 4/5 on Keeneland's main track in company early Oct. 13 for trainer Rusty Arnold. Totally Boss is being pointed to the $1 million Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1T) Nov. 2 at Santa Anita Park after earning a "Win and You're In" berth in the Sept. 7 race.
Also working toward possible Breeders' Cup engagements on the firm Keeneland turf Sunday were Stonestreet Stables' undefeated Cambria and Merriebelle Stable's Walk In Marrakesh.
Working toward the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G2T), Cambria covered five furlongs in company in 1:03 3/5 for trainer Wesley Ward. Walk In Marrakesh, prepping for the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1T), worked a half-mile in :52 for trainer Ignacio Correas IV. Both races are Nov. 1.
Three Chimneys Farm and Fern Circle Stables' Restless Rider, working toward a return to the races in the Oct. 19 Lexus Raven Run Stakes (G2) at Keeneland, breezed five furlongs in 1:00 1/5 on the main track. Her eighth-mile fractions were :11 4/5, :23 4/5, :35 1/5, :47 4/5, and 1:00 1/5.
"She is doing super, and this is a good spot for her," trainer Kenny McPeek said. "She has had a rest since the Kentucky Oaks (G1) in May, and she hasn't sprinted in a while. She is doing good, and we are hoping to have a good late season with her and maybe even next year."
Other grass works of note at Keeneland included Oct. 18 Pin Oak Valley View Stakes (G3T) hopefuls The Mackem Bullet (five furlongs in 1:01 4/5), Lady Prancealot (four furlongs in :51 4/5), and Story Time (four furlongs in :51 1/5).
Working toward the Oct. 20 Rood & Riddle Dowager Stakes (G3T) were Simply Breathless (six furlongs in 1:16), Elysea's World (four furlongs in :49 4/5), and Vevina (five furlongs in 1:04 2/5).
An hour west of Keeneland, Gary Barber and Southern Equine Stable's Got Stormy had her first work at Churchill Downs Sunday since returning from Woodbine. The Mark Casse trainee breezed a half-mile in :49 3/5 on the fast dirt track. Got Stormy earned a berth into the $2 million TVG Breeders' Cup Mile (G1T) Nov. 2 by winning the Fourstardave Handicap (G1T) at Saratoga Race Course, then finished second in the Ricoh Woodbine Mile Stakes (G1T).
