Keeneland, Woodbine Offer Graded Stakes Saturday

2:18 pm.—$125,000 Ontario Fashion Stakes (G3) at Woodbine (TVG)

Sanity, a 5-year-old daughter of City Zip, steps up to the stakes stage in the Ontario Fashion Stakes, a six-furlong main track event.

Trained by Steven Chircop, who co-owns with Domenic Liscio, Sanity will contest her first added-money event since finishing fifth in last year's Richard R. Scherer Memorial Stakes at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots. Claimed for $62,500 this spring by Chircop, the Kentucky-bred mare has been a consistent performer throughout her career. Fashioning a record of 9-4-5 from 26 starts, Sanity went 5-1-1 in nine engagements in 2018 and is 1-1-3 over eight starts this campaign.

5:30 p.m.—$250,000 Lexus Raven Run Stakes (G2) at Keeneland (TVG)

Three Chimneys Farm and Fern Circle Stables' Restless Rider and First Row Partners' Royal Charlotte headline a field of 11 for the 21st running of the Raven Run at seven furlongs on the main track. Trained by Kenny McPeek, Restless Rider will make her first start since the Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) in which she finished off the board for the first time in eight starts. In her two Keeneland starts, she won last fall's grade 1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes and this spring was runner-up in the grade 1 Ashland Stakes. Brian Hernandez Jr., will be aboard Restless Rider, who returns to a sprint distance for the first time since a runner-up finish in the grade 1 Spinaway Stakes at Saratoga Race Course as a 2-year-old.
