Laurel Park has cancelled its live racing programs as work continues to repair a broken water pipe along the track apron. The decision was made to cancel the final two days of Laurel's four-day race week to ensure the pipe issue has been properly resolved for the safety of its horses and horsemen.
Laurel previously cancelled live programs Thursday, Oct. 24 and Friday, Oct. 25 due to the broken pipe, located near the outer rail of the main track.
Laurel will remain open for simulcasting as well as offer its evening Latin American racing signal from Monterrico, Peru. Management is optimistic racing will return with its next scheduled live card Thursday, Oct. 31.
