Mia Mischief wins the Humana Distaff at Churchill Downs

Bill and Corinne Heiligbrodt, Heidler Family Stables, and Madaket Stables' grade 1 winner Mia Mischief will tackle eight rivals in the Nov. 1, $120,000-added Dream Supreme Overnight Stakes at Churchill Downs, a six furlong sprint on the main track for fillies and mares 3 years old and up.

The 4-year-old daughter of Into Mischief  is in search of her final victory prior to entering the auction ring four days later at The November Sale, Fasig-Tipton's premier breeding stock sale in Lexington Nov. 5. Mia Mischief has collected a 7-6-1 record from 18 starts and eanrings of $1,009,540. Her most notable victory came at Churchill Downs in the seven-furlong Humana Distaff Stakes (G1) on Kentucky Derby day. She followed that with a six-furlong score in the Roxelana Overnight Stakes, also at Churchill Downs.

Trained by Hall of Famer Steve Asmussen, Mia Mischief will be ridden by Julien Leparoux for the first time from post 7. The filly will carry 124 pounds, spotting two to four more pounds than the rest of the field.

Among her challengers in the Dream Supreme is Carl Hurst and Buff Bradley's homebred Divine Queen, who will attempt back-to-back wins at the Louisville track following her 2 3/4-length triumph in the Sept. 14 Open Mind Stakes, which was also six furlongs on the main track.

Divine Queen's regular pilot Calvin Borel will be in the irons from post 2.

Madaket Stables also owns Supreme Dream entry Meadow Dance in partnership with Right Time Racing. The Brad Cox trainee is perfect in three starts this year, and last out led wire to wire to win the six-furlong Weathervane Stakes Sept. 21 at Laurel Park. The 3-year-old Jimmy Creed  filly was third after setting the pace in the 2018 Darley Alcibiades Stakes (G1) at Keeneland.

Meadow Dance will break from post 5 under Shaun Bridgmohan.

The Dream Supreme field also includes Majestic Reason, Upset Brewing, Pretty Greeley, Shanghai Tariff, Ascot Day, and Skamania.

The Dream Supreme is the featured event on the 10-race program Friday at Churchill Downs. First post is 2 p.m. EDT with live racing coinciding with Breeders' Cup "Future Stars Friday" card taking place at Santa Anita Park. Simulcast of the Breeders' Cup will be shown throughout the facility at Churchill Downs including between races on the Big Board.
