A two-time grade 3 winner last year, Toinette will try for her first graded stakes score of 2019 when she faces six other fillies and mares in the $200,000 Goldikova Stakes (G2) Sunday, Nov. 3 at Santa Anita Park.
The Goldikova, at one mile on the turf, will close out a busy weekend of graded stakes at Santa Anita, which will host the Breeders' Cup Nov. 1-2.
Trained by Neil Drysdale, Toinette enters Sunday's test off a clear victory in the Swingtime Stakes Oct. 5 on the Santa Anita turf. After winning that mile test for fillies and mares, restricted to non-stakes winners of 2019 (stakes purses of $60,000 or more), the 4-year-old daughter of Scat Daddy will try for her first graded stakes win of the season.
Last year Ken Baca, Joseph and Lynne Hudson's Toinette won the Edgewood Stakes presented by Forcht Bank (G3T) at Churchill Downs and the Autumn Miss Stakes (G3T) at Santa Anita.
