Grade 1 winner Got Stormy will remain in training for owner Gary Barber in 2020 and could make another start before the end of the year, trainer Mark Casse confirmed Nov. 3.

The talented daughter of Get Stormy  was consigned by Bluewater Sales to The November Sale but was scratched from the Nov. 5 Fasig-Tipton auction in Lexington after a strong runner-up finish in the Nov. 2 TVG Breeders' Cup Mile (G1T) at Santa Anita Park.

Instead, Casse is considering a start in the Dec. 1 Matriarch Stakes (G1T) at Del Mar.

"She's flying to Ocala (Fla.) Tuesday and possibly could come back in the Matriarch," he said. "With some luck, next year she'll prove she's one of the best turf horses in the world. We're looking at campaigning her in other countries. We'll see."

Got Stormy finished 1 1/2 lengths behind Uni in the Mile as the females ran 1-2 ahead of their male rivals.

"I was proud of her," Casse said.

Got Stormy made her third straight start in grade 1 company, coming into the Breeders' Cup off a second to El Tormenta in the Sept. 14 Ricoh Woodbine Mile Stakes (G1T). Before the Woodbine Mile, she set a course record in the Fourstardave Handicap (G1T) at Saratoga Race Course while becoming the first female winner in the race's 35-year history.

Several of Casse's other Breeders' Cup contenders will head to Ocala as well, including Preakness Stakes (G1) winner War of Will, who finished ninth Saturday in the Longines Breeders' Cup Classic (G1).

"War of Will is going to get a break, and we'll go over him from head to toe," Casse said. "We're playing with the idea of going back to turf with him. He can run on dirt, but he needs a hard dirt surface. Anything else, he struggles with."

Perfect Alibi, fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1), will aim for the Road to the Kentucky Oaks via Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots

Dixiana Bourbon Stakes (G3T) winner Peace Achieved, 11th in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Presented by Coolmore America (G1T), will go to Ocala as well and aim for a dirt start next out. Two Sixty, last of nine in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1), will eye the Florida-bred program at Gulfstream Park.
