The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award the Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show $3,000 to further the education of students. Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show's mission is to encourage ownership of Thoroughbreds as sport horses by rewarding those who own and ride them in second careers.
The Fair Hill Thoroughbred show provides a welcoming horse show geared to the needs of Thoroughbreds transitioning to second careers. They offer a scholarship program so riders can further their careers, as well as a free clinic, featuring a prominent clinician each year.
In past years, TERF has sponsored the TERF Good Ambassador Scholarships awarded to competitors at the Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show who demonstrate promise as trainers/ riders of Thoroughbred sport horses. TERF will continue their support in 2019 in alignment with their own mission to support and promote equine education and research by sponsoring scholarships in veterinary medicine and supporting organizations that are educating the public in the proper care of horses.
TERF's grants reflect the values set forth by founders Herb and Ellen Moelis during TERF's 2013 inception.
