Starship Jubilee wins the E. P. Taylor Stakes at Woodbine

Two-time Canadian champion turf female Starship Jubilee is scheduled to make her first start in Kentucky Nov. 28 in the $175,000 Cardinal Stakes (G3T) on the turf at Churchill Downs.

Blue Heaven Farm's 6-year-old Indy Wind mare enters Thursday's race in top form and seems well-positioned for another divisional championship in Canada, having secured her first grade 1 victory in her previous start, the Oct. 12 E. P. Taylor Stakes (G1T) at Woodbine. That victory followed a 4 1/4-length romp in Woodbine's Canadian Stakes Presented by the Japan Racing Association (G2T).

A $425,000 RNA at the 2018 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, Starship Jubilee has won or placed in every start this season for trainer Kevin Attard—racing exclusively in stakes races. She opened the year by winning the Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf at Gulfstream Park a second straight year and followed with a pair of runner-up finishes in grade 2 races at Woodbine and then a close third in the Woodford Reserve Ballston Spa Stakes (G2T) at Saratoga Race Course.

Regular rider Luis Contreras will make the trip to Louisville for the 1 1/8-mile test, which has attracted a field of 12 fillies and mares.

Don Alberto Stable homebred Limari will return to the Churchill turf for the first time since finishing a close third in the June 8 Old Forester Mint Julep Stakes (G3T). Trained by Brad Cox, the 4-year-old Medaglia d'Oro  filly will try for her first graded stakes win off a useful allowance race Oct. 24 at Keeneland, where she rallied from eighth to finish second.
