One start after defeating every rival except stablemate Belvoir Bay in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1T), Sareen Family Trust's Om will stretch out to two turns for the $200,000 Seabiscuit Handicap (G2T) Nov. 30 on the Del Mar turf.
Trained by Peter Miller, the 7-year-old son of Munnings also finished second in the Jaipur Invitational Stakes (G1T) in June at Belmont Park.
Om's four graded stakes wins have come in two-turn turf races, including last season's Thunder Road Stakes (G3T) at Santa Anita Park.
Paco Lopez will have the mount.
Shipping west for the 1 1/16-mile test for 3-year-olds and older is Sacred Life, a group 3 winner in France who will try for his first United States stakes victory. Trained by Chad Brown, Sacred Life finished second in the Lure Stakes Aug. 3 and the Bernard Baruch Handicap (G2T) Sept. 2, both at Saratoga Race Course.
Javier Castellano, who guided Sacred Life to a clear victory in an Oct. 10 allowance on the Keeneland turf, will ride.
Cleopatra's Strike, a 6-year-old son of Smart Strike who has finished first or second in his past four starts, was scratched.
Alms Leads Jimmy Durante
The planned seven graded stakes on turf for Del Mar's weekend cards begins with the $100,000 Jimmy Durante Stakes (G3T), where Alms will look for a second consecutive graded stakes score.
Trainer Michael Stidham, who earned the 2,000th win of his career Wednesday, ships the Godolphin homebred west for the Jimmy Durante, a 1-mile turf race for 2-year-old fillies, after the daughter of City Zip won the Matron Stakes (G3T) Oct. 6 on the inner turf at Belmont.
Saturday's test will be the first try at two turns for Alms, who in September won her maiden debut going six furlongs on the Belmont turf. Out of group 3-winning Charity Belle, a daughter of Empire Maker , Alms is a half sister to stakes winner Hallie Belle (Medaglia d'Oro ).
Awaiting Alms is Croughavouke, who will be making her first start since finishing sixth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1T). Before that, the Irish-bred daughter of Dandy Man finished second in turf stakes at Del Mar and Santa Anita.
Alms isn't the only runner coming off a win on the Belmont inner turf. Brown has entered Princesa Caroline, a daughter of Triple Crown winner American Pharoah who won her maiden debut by 3 1/2 lengths. She is a half sister to Lady Eli, the champion older female turf horse of 2017.
Castellano, aboard for the maiden win, will ride.
