Following the first three races Dec. 14, Woodbine was forced to cancel the remainder of the 12-race card because of inclement weather in the Toronto area.
Woodbine canceled the remainder of the card after the jockeys, in accordance with rule 3.15 in the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario Thoroughbred rule book, voted in favor of not continuing to race following the third race.
Closing day of the 2019 Thoroughbred meet gets underway at 1:05 p.m. ET Sunday, with 192 horses entered to compete in 16 races, making it the biggest Woodbine race card in recent history.
