Breeders' Cup Pre-Entries Close Oct. 21

The Breeders' Cup announced Oct. 16 that pre-entries for all 14 of the World Championships races at Santa Anita Park will close Monday, Oct. 21 at noon (local time at place of pre-entry).
Pre-entered fields for all 14 Breeders' Cup races will be announced on Wednesday, Oct. 23. This year's Breeders' Cup will be held Nov. 1-2.
Breeders' Cup pre-entry is the first of two stages in the entry payment process for all owners intending to start a horse in a race. The pre-entry payment due on Monday may be made to the Breeders' Cup offices in Lexington through Oct. 18 and at the Breeders' Cup racing office at Santa Anita Park beginning Oct. 19.
Payments for overseas pre-entrants can be made at Weatherbys, France Galop, and Horse Racing Ireland. Pre-entry payment locations and additional information is available at members.breederscup.com or by calling 1-888-882-2982 or 859-514-9422.
The second payment to start a horse in a Breeders' Cup race is due Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. PT, when entries are taken for all 14 races, and post-positions are drawn that afternoon.
