Dual European champion Cracksman has become the latest young stallion to sire his first foal, with a chestnut filly arriving Jan. 22 at Newsells Park Stud.
Not only is the filly the first progeny of four-time group 1 winner Cracksman, but she is out of Amber Silk, a winning full sister to the Etihad Airways Irish One Thousand Guineas (G1) and E. P Taylor Stakes (G1T) heroine Just The Judge.
Julian Dollar, general manager of Newsells Park, described the new arrival as: "A neat, attractive foal. She looks well-balanced, bright, and alert."
Cracksman was European champion at 3 and 4, and is best remembered for back-to-back victories in the QIPCO Champion Stakes (G1), races he won by an aggregate of 13 lengths, seeing off Poet's Word by seven lengths in 2017 and Crystal Ocean by six lengths 12 months later.
He also won the Investec Coronation Stakes (G1) and the Prix Ganay-Prix de l'Inauguration de Parislongchamp (G1) and retired with a peak Racing Post Rating of 131, making him the highest-rated progeny of Frankel.
He was retired to Darley's Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket and was well supported during his first season, covering a book of 147 mares that included 97 who are closely related to group winners and 61 individual stakes performers.
Cracksman will stand the upcoming season at Dalham Hall at a fee of £25,000.
