Sans Frontieres, the 2010 Irish Field St. Leger (G1) winner who stood his first seven seasons at the Beeches Stud, will relocate to Graham Heal's Vauterhill Stud for the 2020 breeding season after a deal was brokered by Richard Venn Bloodstock.

The 14-year-old son of Galileo will replace the Sadler's Wells stallion Linda's Lad on the roster following his transfer to Yorton Farm Stud.

Sans Frontieres, who will stand alongside Cannock Chase and Dream Eater at Vauterhill, is the sire of the Venetia Williams-trained Easy As That (IRE), a 5-year-old who entered plenty of notebooks, making an impressive winning debut at Ffos Las in December for owners Kate and Andrew Brooks.

"We were looking for a replacement for Linda's Lad and Richard Venn thought he would be a decent replacement, and with a bit of luck he will be," said Heal. "I was very impressed by Easy As That the other day, and Sans Frontieres should do quite well down here in the West Country."

Sans Frontieres was raced by Sir Robert Ogden with trainer Jeremy Noseda, and while he opened his account as early as September of his 2-year-old season, he showed his best form at 4, stringing together three pattern wins that culminated in success in the Irish St. Leger.

He also struck in the Princess of Wales's Sportingbet.com Stakes (G2) at the Newmarket July meeting and the CGA Geoffrey Freer Stakes (G3) at Newbury.

Bred by the Lavington Stud out of the listed-placed Shirley Heights mare Llia, Sans Frontieres is closely related to the MBNA Chester Vase (G3) scorer Hans Holbein and a half brother to the dual-listed winner Kootenay, while his 450,000 guineas (US$961,774) yearling price tag pays testament to his good looks.

A fee for Sans Frontieres will be announced at a later date.
