Fasig-Tipton released on March 11 its official logo for the 100th edition of The Saratoga Sale, the company's annual selected yearling sale, which will be held Aug. 10-11 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
The logo combines both traditional and modern elements of the sale's branding through the years. The sale's name is presented in the traditional letters that adorned the front cover of Saratoga catalogs from 1963-2008. The Fasig-Tipton seal makes up one of the zeros in the number "100," with a white horse head on a red medallion. This red and white version of the Fasig-Tipton seal has been used on all Saratoga Sale covers since 2009—a look that pays tribute to the red and white color scheme of Saratoga Race Course.
"We are excited to unveil this logo as we look ahead to our 100th annual Saratoga Sale celebration," Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning Jr. said. "The 100th sale at Saratoga is a historic milestone for Fasig-Tipton, and this year's sale will be a truly special renewal that is not to be missed. We strongly encourage all yearling sellers and buyers to make plans to join us this August."
Fasig-Tipton is accepting yearling nominations to the 100th Saratoga sale and its other summer selected yearling sales: The July Sale in Lexington and the New York Bred Yearlings Sale, also in Saratoga. Prospective yearling sellers can learn more about Fasig-Tipton's 2020 selected yearling sales at fasigtipton.com.
Fasig-Tipton will release more information about its planned festivities around the 100th Saratoga sale in the coming months.
