Texas first-crop sire Live in Joy was represented by his first reported foal when a filly out of the winning High Yield mare Way too High was born March 10 at Broughton Farm.

Bred in Texas by Jerry Broughton, the filly is the fourth foal out of Way too High, who has produced the winner Pay Me N Pennies. Way too High is out of the Rahy stakes winner Rahbaby, who is a half sister to grade 3 winner and stakes producer Devil's Bride (Caro) and graded-placed stakes winner Red (Siyah Kalem).

Live in Joy is a 12-year-old stakes-winning son of Kitten's Joy . His 12 victories included a win in the Capital City Stakes on the turf at Penn National Race Course. He was also runner-up in the J. Kenneth Self Shelby County Boys and Girls Club Stakes on the turf course at Indiana Grand Race Course.

Bred in Kentucky by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, Live in Joy was campaigned by the Ramseys for 26 of his 56 lifetime starts. He retired with $329,916 in earnings.

Live in Joy is out of the Our Emblem daughter Live in Freedom. His third dam is French listed stakes winner Worood, who is a half sister to grade 3 winner Lady Roberta and group 3 winner Tursanah.

The stallion stands at Broughton Farm, near Odessa, for $1,500.
