Bernardini Filly to Stonestreet for $575,000 at OBS
Description:
A Bernardini filly from the female family of multiple graded stakes winner and sire Old Fashioned was purchased by Stonestreet Stables for $575,000 early during the March 18 second session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training.
Consigned by Eddie Woods, agent, the filly was previously acquired for $250,000 in the name of Quarter Pole Enterprises from Select Sales, agent, at The Saratoga Sale, Fasig-Tipton's selected yearling sale in Saratoga Srpings, N.Y.
The colt was bred in Kentucky by Machmer Hall and D + J Stables and is the second foal out of the Unbridled's Song mare Song Collection, a full sister to Old Fashioned, whose four wins from six starts included the Remsen Stakes (G2) and Southwest Stakes (G3). Racing for Fox Hill Farm, the colt finished second in the Arkansas Derby (G2) and Rebel Stakes (G2).
