The horse racing world, like all other areas of society, continues to make changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and public health crisis. Racetracks across America have either postponed live racing or prohibited anyone other than essential employees from entering.

Among the live racing still being conducted, the highlight event March 28 is the $750,000 million Curlin Florida Derby (G1) at Gulfstream Park. The Florida Derby is a qualifying race for the 146th Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve (G1), which has been rescheduled for Sept. 5 at Churchill Downs, and offers points to the top four finishers on a 100-40-20-10 scale.

The Florida Derby will be televised live on TVG's program "Trackside Live" from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. "Trackside Live" will be available on its home network as well as on NBCSN, which will air the four-hour show on Florida Derby day as well as on Friday, March 27, and Sunday, March 29.

The Florida Derby will air on NBCSN as previously scheduled this Saturday starting at 6 p.m. ET, and will be part of the "Trackside Live" coverage. Post time for Saturday's Florida Derby is 6:36 p.m. ET.

Live racing will also be featured during an extended afternoon bloc Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on the "America's Day at the Races" show presented by America's Best Racing. The show, produced by NYRA, will air from 1:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. ET on FS2 Friday, and from 1:30 p.m.-7 p.m. ET on FS1 Saturday. On Sunday, the show will air from 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. ET on FS2 and from 2:30 p.m.-7 p.m. ET on FS1.

TVG will, as usual, present their comprehensive coast-to-coast racing coverage all weekend. Post time varies for different tracks, usually starting between noon-1 p.m. ET for east coast tracks.

A must-listen highlight of this week's radio schedule is "The Winner's Circle," America's Best Racing's podcast presented by NYRA Bets. The show, hosted by Bram Weinstein and featuring analysis from Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens, airs at 10 a.m. ET on Saturdays through Nov. 7 on SB Nation Radio. Subscribe to "The Winner's Circle" on Apple Podcasts to listen to archived episodes.

The March 28 show features guests Tom Law, editor of the Saratoga Special; Jay Privman, Triple Crown writer for Daily Racing Form; and musician Kirsten Collins, who appeared in a video produced by America's Best Racing last summer at Del Mar.
