Reride in Dubai for the 2018 UAE Derby in which he placed third

According to Turf Diario, Reride, a stakes-winning, group 2-placed son of Candy Ride , has been retired and will stand at Haras La Leonor, near Mercedes in the Buenos Aires province of Argentina.

Reride was raced by his breeder, Winchell Thoroughbreds, before being sold in early 2019 to Adriana Beatriz Lombardi. Reride was trained last year by Ignacio Correas IV.

Reride's top win came in the February 2018 Mine That Bird Derby at Sunland Park for trainer Steve Asmussen. Prior to that effort, he won that year's Big Drama Stakes at Delta Downs. In March 2018, he traveled to Dubai and placed third in the UAE Derby Sponsored by Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group (G2) behind Mendelssohn . He was being prepared for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve (G1), but Asmussen took him out of consideration in April.

For Lombardi and Correas, he finished third in last year's Carl Hanford Memorial Stakes at Delaware Park.

Reride is the second foal out of Remit, a stakes-winning daughter of Tapit  who also produced Finite, the winner of this year's Rachel Alexandra Stakes Presented by Fasig-Tipton (G2) and last year's Golden Rod Stakes (G2). Remit is a full sister to Tapiture , a grade 2 winner who is among the top 10 second-crop sires of 2020, and 2019 Super Derby (G3) winner Rotation.
