Horse Racing Radio Network, the award-winning official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup World Championships, will air several hours of programming May 2 to celebrate what is traditionally Kentucky Derby Day—including a Fantasy Derby that can be heard live Saturday afternoon at Bloodhorse.com.
Return to this story at 3:00 p.m. ET for a replay of HRRN's broadcast of California Chrome's victory in the 2014 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1), followed at 5:00 p.m. for a special one-hour broadcast of the HRRN Fantasy Derby Presented by Claiborne Farm.
Both broadcasts will also air on Sirius 219/XM 201 as well as on multiple terrestrial affiliates including ESPN 680 in the Louisville, Ky. market.
The 20 horse Fantasy Derby field showcases legendary Kentucky Derby winners in a 1 1/4-mile test to determine who is the greatest of all time. The field and order of finish was determined by a voting process asking listeners and industry professionals to select their top Kentucky Derby winners. A listing of all 20 horses in post-position order with morning line odds can be found at http://horseracingradio.net/FantasyDerby.
Fans can also participate in the "HRRN Fantasy Trifecta" (#HRRNFANTASYTRIFECTA) contest by visiting the HRRN website. All entries selecting the correct top 3 finishers of the Fantasy Derby in exact order will receive a Prize Pack courtesy of HRRN and Claiborne Farm. Entries must be received no later than 5:45 p.m. ET on Saturday to be eligible.
