Beauty Generation to Continue Career in Hong Kong

Beauty Generation is one of Hong Kong's greatest performers
Record-breaking two-time Hong Kong Horse of the Year Beauty Generation will race next season and is set to join Lexus Melbourne Cup (G1)-winning trainer David Hayes.
The brilliant 7-year-old son of Road To Rock (AUS) has been in the care of Hong Kong's winningest trainer, John Moore, since 2016, but the long-serving horseman will retire this season due to the Hong Kong Jockey Club's rule that no trainer over 70 is permitted to hold a license.
There had been speculation regarding where Beauty Generation would train next season, but owner Patrick Kwok shared on Twitter via the Beauty Stable account that the gelding will join Australian trainer Hayes, who is returning to Hong Kong next season.
The 57-year-old enjoyed significant success when training in the region from 1995-2005, winning two premierships (1997-98 and 1998-99) and the 2003 Hong Kong Derby.
After a narrow defeat in the FWD Champions Mile (G1) at Sha Tin last month, Moore, who is set to relocate to Rosehill in Sydney at the end of the season, suggested he would like to bring Beauty Generation with him.
Speaking after his star performer was just touched off by Southern Legend, Moore said: "I'd like to take him for a mile race in Australia and then have him stay there at the Living Legends Farm.
"That's what I'd like to do, but what the Kwok family wants to do is what counts. I don't know whether they'll keep racing him or retire him."
Beauty Generation may not have been at his unstoppable best this season, but the eight-time group 1 winner still managed to strike three times, including in the Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup (G1) in February, and never finished out of the first three in eight starts.
