Irish Thoroughbred Marketing has launched a new scheme in support of Irish breeze-up consignors in light of the coronavirus crisis.

The ITM Breeze-Up Consignor Marketing Support Scheme 2020 is designed to assist with the marketing of breeze-up lots through digital means.

The initiative enables Irish breeze-up vendors to avail of a financial contribution toward the cost of presale conformation videos and digital content.

The contribution will be made available to consignors who engage the services of a recognized professional videographer to create video and photo content that complies with stipulated standards relating to quality and content.

The €30 per horse contribution will be paid to the relevant videographer, on behalf of the consignor, upon receipt of a completed application form.

"The importance of the breeze-up market to the industry as a whole cannot be overestimated," Síle Hayes of ITM said. "In these times of restricted travel and increased public health measures, ITM is seeking to assist this pivotal sector by lending its support to breeze-up consignors' digital marketing efforts."

The ITM Breeze-Up Consignor Marketing Support Scheme 2020 will be operated on a pre-approval basis and require consignors to complete an application.
