Because of a starting gate malfunction at the start of Friday's sixth race at the New Orleans track, Meetmeatcajuns was declared a non-starter in that event. But because of what the track said was "a human error in communication," the race was declared official and payoffs were calculated and originally paid as though Meetmeatcajuns had been a starter.
As a result, Meetmeatcajuns was scratched after the race had been declared official and the payoffs were recalculated. All wagers on Meetmeatcajuns in the sixth race were treated as refunded.
