Gulfstream Park president Tim Ritvo announced Feb. 16 the Hallandale Beach, Fla., track is taking steps to improve physical access for patrons with disabilities.
Gulfstream said it would have more visible signage for disabled patrons, improve seating within and directly outside Ten Palms, improve pathways for disabled patrons of Frank's Beach and Stretch's BBQ/Tiki Hut areas, an provide ADA seating within Silks.
"This move is consistent with our dedication to providing world-class Thoroughbred racing and gaming entertainment and our continuous effort to maximize our guests' experiences," Ritvo's statement said. "We are always exploring ways to achieve excellence and quality in everything we do, particularly recognizing our customers' desires and finding ways to best serve those needs. We believe these modifications plus several others under way as part of our overall improvement plan will enhance the Gulfstream Park experience for all guests, including guests with disabilities."
