O'Sullivan Farms and Huntertown Farm's Natural Attraction represented the first winner for O'Sullivan Farms stallion Golden Years July 4 at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.

The 2-year-old colt, bred in West Virginia by O'Sullivan Farms, won on his debut Saturday for trainer Javier Contreras. Jockey Sunday Diaz Jr. settled him in third at the start of the 4 1/2 furlongs for West Virginia-bred juveniles. Hopping Henry set an opening quarter-mile in :22.19, and Natural Attraction came from the four path to get up for a length score.

The time was :53.46 on a fast track.

Natural Attraction collected $16,050 for his win. He is the third foal and winner out of In Excess mare Pardon My Excess.

Golden Years is another West Virginia-bred from O'Sullivan Farms. By Not For Love and produced from the multiple stakes-winning Oh Say mare Sweet Annuity (a half sister to multi-millionaire and West Virginia Horse of the Year Russell Road), he was purchased for $120,000 from Bill Reightler's consignment to the 2013 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Eastern Fall Yearling Sale.

Golden Years made five starts under the Hillwood Stable banner and won three times, including the 2014 Maryland Million Nursery Stakes and Marylander Stakes. Trainer by Rodney Jenkins, he retired with earnings of $156,760.

The bay entered stud at O'Sullivan Farms near Charles Town, W.V., in 2017. He stands for a $1,500 fee.
