A complete dispersal of the Thoroughbred holdings of the late R.D. Hubbard began July 21 at the online auction site ThoroughbredAuctions.com, and continues through July 28.

A leading Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse owner and breeder who was also involved in racetrack ownership and the formation of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, Hubbard died April 29 at the age of 84. He owned Crystal Springs Farm in Central Kentucky, which is now located in New Mexico.

According to ThoroughbredAuctions.com, which charges a 7% transaction fee to the purchaser, highlights of the auction include the stallion Attila's Storm, the leading sire in New Mexico in 2016-17 and among the leading sires in that state annually since 2013. The stallion, who stands at A&A Stud, has been represented by 22 stakes winners, with progeny earnings of nearly $12.6 million.

Also included among the 54 horses cataloged are:

Garter, a 12-year-old Bernardini  mare in foal to Attila's Storm who is the dam of black-type-placed Go for a Stroll, Stormy Day, and Reception, the first of which is an earner of $413,543; Flight Song, a 4-year-old multiple stakes-winning daughter of Attila's Storm; Sippin, a multiple stakes winner who earned $442,602 and is in foal to Attila's Storm; a 2019 filly by Attila's Storm that is a full sister to Flight Song, multiple stakes winners Thermal and Reaper, and stakes winner Another BrotherTwo Stepper, a 3-year-old stakes-winning daughter of Attila's Storm; Renewed Vows, a 9-year-old multiple stakes winner in foal to Marked; and Hang Glide, the multiple stakes-placed dam of Flight Song, Thermal, Reaper, and Another Brother.
