Hip 547 is the seventh foal out of 2009 Bienville Stakes winner Coy Cat

Coy Cat was a hard-knocking race horse, with five wins and 10 placings in 25 career starts over four seasons, $247,755 in earnings, and two stakes victories to her credit.

As a broodmare, the 15-year-old daughter of Hold That Tiger has been represented by Doups Point and Newport Breeze, both of whom were multiple stakes-placed in New York, from five foals to race. The mare's 2019 colt by Into Mischief  entered in the Keeneland September Yearling Sale is the highest-priced pinhook prospect in the Sept. 16-17 Book 2 sessions of the auction.

Cataloged by Baccari Bloodstock, agent, as Hip 547, the colt bred in Kentucky by SF Bloodstock and Tuscany Bloodstock had been purchased by Baccari for $350,000 from Claiborne Farm at the 2019 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. Coy Cat, a half sister to the stakes-winning, grade 2-placed Anziyan Royalty, had been purchased by SF Bloodstock for $150,000 while in foal to Into Mischief at the 2018 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale.

Hip 589, a Quality Road  colt from Denali Stud, agent, is the second-highest priced previously purchased yearling entered in Book 2, having been bought in the name First Finds for $310,000 as a short yearling when offered by Denali at this year's Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale.

The colt bred in Kentucky by Williamson Racing is out of the Foxhound mare Foxysox, a $715,118-earner who raced most of her career for Warren Williamson, with her seven victories including the Santa Barbara Handicap (G2T) and Bayakoa Handicap (G2). Foxysox is also the dam of multiple stakes winner Curlin's Fox.

Third on the Book 2 pinhook prospects' list is Hip 684, a filly consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, from the first crop of Arrogate, the late Juddmonte Farms runner who posted grade/group 1 victories in the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes, Breeders' Cup Classic, Dubai World Cup Sponsored by Emirates Airline, and Travers Stakes. Arrogate was euthanized June 2 after a weeklong battle with an apparent neurological illness, the cause of which was undetermined.

The filly bred in Pennsylvania by Blackstone Farm had been purchased by Parker Place Racing for $300,000 when consigned by Taylor Made to the 2019 The November Sale, Fasig-Tipton's selected breeding stock sale. The filly was produced from the winning Bernardini  mare Mahkama, who also produced Yulong Warrior, a group 3-placed stakes winner in Dubai, and is from the female family of millionaire, multiple grade 2 winner, and multiple grade 1-placed Lewis Bay and grade 3 winners Summer Raven, Misconnect, and Winslow Homer.
