Keeneland Releases Fall Meet Condition Book

Keeneland has released the condition book for its 2020 fall meet from Oct. 2-24, along with a list of the undercard stakes to be run during the Nov. 6-7 Breeders' Cup World Championships.

The condition book can be found on the Keeneland website.

During the 17-day fall meet, Keeneland will present 18 stakes worth a total of $4,775,000, down from the record $5,675,000 awarded for stakes in 2019. The season opens with Fall Stars Weekend and five grade 1 events—the Darley Alcibiades Stakes (G1), Shadwell Turf Mile Stakes (G1T), Claiborne Breeders' Futurity (G1), First Lady Presented by UK Healthcare (G1), and the Juddmonte Spinster Stakes (G1). A total of 10 fall meet stakes are part of the Breeders' Cup Challenge Series of automatic qualifying races for the World Championships.

As the host site for the Breeders' Cup, Keeneland has carded an additional eight undercard stakes worth $1 million to be held in conjunction with the two-day event.

"Kicking off the meet with 10 'Win and You're In' Breeders' Cup qualifying races, coupled with strong overnight purses throughout the 17-day meet, and culminating with a second chance to host the Breeders' Cup World Championships make Keeneland the centerpiece of the fall racing landscape."
