The star lineup of mares headed to The November Sale, Fasig-Tipton's marquee breeding sale in Lexington, continues to grow.
A day after Rushing Fall was reported headed to the sale as part of the Indian Creek consignment, three champion mares—Monomoy Girl, Midnight Bisou, and Uni—have also been announced as joining the Fasig-Tipton sale. All three will be consigned by Elite Sales at the Nov. 8 sale.
Monomoy Girl, owned by Monomoy Stables, Michael Dubb, The Elkstone Group, and Bethlehem Stables, was the champion 3-year-old filly in 2018 during an unforgettable campaign in which she won both the Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) and Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1). After missing all of 2019, the 5-year-old Tapizar mare has compiled a 3-for-3 record in 2020, capped by a victory in the La Troienne Stakes Presented by Oak Grove Racing and Gaming (G1) at Churchill Downs Sept. 4. She has won 12 of 14 starts and more than $3.3 million.
Midnight Bisou, the champion older dirt female of 2019, is a five-time grade 1 winner for current owners Bloom Racing Stable, Madaket Stables, and Allen Racing. She also ran second this year in the Saudi Cup behind Maximum Security. An earner of more than $7.4 million while notching 13 graded stakes victories, she is slated to run next in the Juddmonte Spinster Stakes (G1) at Keeneland Oct. 4 as a prep for the Breeder's Cup. She is a 5-year-old by Midnight Lute .
Uni captured champion female turf honors last year after beating males the TVG Breeders' Cup Mile (G1T) at Santa Anita Park. Besides that victory, she also took the First Lady Stakes Presented by UK HealthCare (G1T) at Keeneland in course-record time of 1:32.87 for a mile. This followed a 2018 campaign in which she won the Matriarch Stakes (G1T).
A specialist at a mile, the 6-year-old More Than Ready mare is winless in two starts in 2020 but is on target for a title defense in the First Lady, according to Elite. She races for Michael Dubb, Head of Plains Partners, Robert LaPenta, and Bethlehem Stables.
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to offer three champions in the prime of their careers," Elite Sales founder Bradley Weisbord said in a news release. "They aren't one-hit wonders; they have been leaders in their divisions since they hit the racetrack. With these unprecedented times we look forward to speaking with all interested parties as these mares will appeal to anyone around the world looking to target the highest end of the Thoroughbred industry."
