Baffert Duo Tabbed in Next Derby Future Wager

A pair of 3-year-olds trained by Bob Baffert are the top individual choices according to the morning line for this weekend's Kentucky Derby Future Wager pool, the third of four Derby future wagers that will be offered by Churchill Downs before this year's classic.
Last year's juvenile champion male American Pharoah and grade I winner Dortmund, who captured this year's Robert B. Lewis Stakes (gr. III) at Santa Anita Park are both listed at 8-1 on the morning line.
The wager offers 23 individual 3-year-olds and a mutuel field of all other 3-year-olds. The mutuel field is the 3-1 morning-line favorite.
Winning payouts in all KDFW pools are determined by the odds that are in place at the end of each respective betting pool. Those winning mutuel payouts for the $2 minimum win and exacta wagers placed in each Kentucky Derby Future pool will be made following the running of the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) on Saturday, May 2, at Churchill.
Pool 3 of the Derby Future Wager will run concurrent to the only Kentucky Oaks Future Wager pool of 2015. Wagering on both pools is set to open at noon (all times Eastern) Friday, Feb. 27. Betting on the Kentucky Derby pool will close at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 1 while the Kentucky Oaks pool will remain open for an additional 30 minutes before closing at 6:30 p.m.
