Frank's Rockette wins the Prioress Stakes at Saratoga Race Course

Speedy Frank's Rockette will try to secure a fourth straight win and fourth stakes victory this season when she faces older fillies and mares for the first time Oct. 3 in the $150,000 Gallant Bloom Handicap (G2) at Belmont Park.

A homebred for Frank Fletcher, Frank's Rockette is the 119-pound co-highweight off her 2 1/2-length victory in the Prioress Stakes (G2) over other 3-year-old fillies Sept. 5 at Saratoga Race Course—the most lucrative victory of the Into Mischief  filly's career. That followed wins in the Victory Ride Stakes (G3) in July at Belmont and an allowance-level race in May at Churchill Downs.

Frank's Rockette is trained by Hall of Famer Bill Mott, who said Frank's Rockette has done well since the Prioress. She has worked twice on the Oklahoma training track at Saratoga since that six-furlong test. With the filly showing that good form, Frank's Rockette was supplemented into Saturday's 6 1/2-furlong race for $2,250—in addition to entry and starting fees.

"She's been doing really well," Mott said. "She had a couple of nice works; very workmanlike breezes. They've all been on point."

Out of the Indian Charlie mare Rocket Twentyone, a grade 3 winner, Frank's Rockette has never finished worse than second in a nine-race career in which she's won five times, earning $523,603.

The other horse assigned 119 pounds in the expected field of six fillies and mares is eight-time stakes winner Bronx Beauty, a 5-year-old daughter of Liaison Forever Sunshine, by Rockport Harbor. Richard Woll's Bronx Beauty, who will look to secure the first graded stakes win of her career, enters off a 4 1/4-length victory in the Regret Stakes Sept. 13—the second straight year she has won that six-furlong test at Monmouth Park.

In her first start at Belmont Park, Bronx Beauty is scheduled to break from the inside post with jockey Eric Cancel up for the first time.

In a 2019 season that included three stakes wins, Pennsylvania-bred Bronx Beauty won last year's MATCH Series Championship.

She is cross-entered in the $100,000 Skipat Stakes Presented by Runhappy on Saturday at Pimlico Race Course.

First Row Partners and Parkland Thoroughbreds' Royal Charlotte, who in 2019 won the Prioress and Victory Ride, will try for her first win of 2020 after three losses this season. The 4-year-old daughter of Cairo Prince  most recently finished second to Bronx Beauty in the Regret.

Rounding out the field are New York-bred multiple winner Bertranda, stakes-placed winner Honor Way, and multiple graded stakes-placed winner Pacific Gale.
