Updates, Supplements to Wanamaker's October Online Sale

Led by Caravel's third-place finish in the Hilltop Stakes at Pimlico Race Course Oct. 3, there are several updates and supplemental entries to Wanamaker's October online auction that takes place Oct. 8.
"I asked a lot of her this weekend as she stretched to two turns for the first time on tiring ground. Unfortunately, the race didn't set up for her with the sharp pace early on, but she fought on and finished a strong third," said Elizabeth Merryman, trainer, owner, and breeder of Caravel, a 3-year-old daughter of Mizzen Mast who won the Lady Erie Stakes are Presque Isle Downs.
Another update of note was the maiden special weight victory by Florida-bred 2-year-old Celestial Cheetah at Delaware Park on Oct. 5.
A number of supplemental entries have been added to the catalog. The supplements include California Chrome 2-year-old, Charles Chrome. Charles Chrome won his debut on dirt by 12 1/2 lengths and followed that performance up by running a 74 Beyer Speed Figure on the turf with a runner-up finish in his second start.
The other supplements are winning Kantharos 2-year-old Risen Lady, and Midnitesalright, a stakes-placed, maiden mare in foal to Longines Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) winner Vino Rosso .
The catalog, found on wanamakers.com, also contains weanlings, yearlings, racing prospects, and broodmares.
