Multiple group 1 winner Noble Mission , the sire of multiple grade 1 winner Code of Honor, will stand the 2021 breeding season at Shizunai Stallion Station in Japan, according to a news release from the Japan Bloodhorse Breeders' Association.
The 11-year-old Galileo stallion, a full brother to undefeated European champion Frankel, entered stud in 2015 at Lane's End near Versailles, Ky., where his advertised fee for 2020 was $20,000.
According to the JBBA release, Noble Mission will ship to Japan in late November and take up residence at Shizunai in December after quarantine. A Lane's End representative declined comment.
Noble Mission was bred in Great Britain by Juddmonte Farms out of the group 3-placed, stakes-winning Danehill mare Kind and is also a half brother to group 3 winner Bullet Train and stakes winner Joyeuse.
Racing for Sir Henry Cecil and Lady Jane Cecil, he won the Qatar Racing Newmarket Stakes and the Bet365 Gordon Stakes (G3) at 3 and took the Tapster Stakes at 4. But his true talent was revealed at 5, when he took the Tattersalls Gold Cup (G1), Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud (G1), and QIPCO Champion Stakes (G1) along with two group 3 events in 2014, earning the title of Cartier champion older horse that year.
Code of Honor, who took the 2019 Runhappy Travers Stakes (G1) and Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes (G1), is the stallion's top performer from 74 winners. Noble Mission is also the sire of group 2 winner Spanish Mission.
