Antoinette (outside) wins the Saratoga Oaks Invitational Stakes at Saratoga

Godolphin's Antoinette, who was most recently runner-up in the Sept. 19 Belmont Oaks Invitational (G1T) at Belmont Park, tops a field of a dozen 3-year-old fillies entered in the $150,000 Pin Oak Valley View (G3T) Oct. 16 at Keeneland.

Trained by Bill Mott, the homebred daughter of Hard Spun  will be ridden Friday by Manny Franco and break from post 12. While the sophomore has hit the board in all six of her starts this season, her only victory came Aug. 16 when she took the Saratoga Oaks Invitational at Saratoga Race Course.

A threat in Friday's 1 1/16-mile grass race will be Merriebelle Stable's Walk In Marrakesh, who will make her first return trip to Keeneland since running second in the Appalachian Stakes Presented by Japan Racing Association (G2T) July 11. 

Trained by Ignacio Correas IV, Walk In Marrakesh has come up just short in three graded stakes since coming to North America late last summer. She was beaten a nose in the Natalma (G1T) at Woodbine in September and in her 2020 debut was beaten again by a head in the Florida Oaks (G3T).

Walk in Marrakesh enters in the Pin Oak Valley View off a sixth-place finish in the Edgewood Stakes Presented by Forcht Bank (G2T) Sept. 4 at Churchill Downs.

Brian Hernandez Jr. will have the call on the filly and the pair will leave from post 4.  

Other competitors of note are Marc Detampel, TSK Thoroughbred Racing, and Rebecca Hillen's Outburst and Paradise Farms and Parkland Thoroughbreds' Stunning Sky.

Winner of the aforementioned Florida Oaks in March, Outburst exits a fourth-place finish in the Music City Stakes at Kentucky Downs Sept. 15. Trained by Eddie Kenneally, Outburst will be ridden by Florent Geroux and break from post 10.

Stunning Sky comes into the Pin Oak Valley View off a solid summer season that has featured runner-up finishes at Saratoga in the Lake Placid Stakes (G2T) and Saratoga Oaks Invitational. In her most recent start, she was fourth in the Dueling Grounds Oaks at Kentucky Downs. Trained by Mike Maker, Ricardo Santana Jr. with be in the irons on Stunning Sky and break from post 11.
