Acclamation at Rathbarry Stud

Rathbarry Stud stalwart Acclamation will stand for a reduced fee of €27,500 in 2021, with the County Cork operation revealing fees for its four flat stallions Nov. 13.

Acclamation, a proven top-class source of talent having sired leading stallion Dark Angel, first-season sire sensation Mehmas, and Banstead Manor Stud resident Expert Eye, among a number of household names, stood for €35,000 this year.

The 21-year-old is responsible for 129 stakes performers, of which 24 are group winners and five victorious at the highest level. Ventura Tormenta provided a highlight this year when winning the Darley Prix Robert Papin (G2) at Chantilly.

First-season sire Kodi Bear has made a good start to his second career, his best representative to date being Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Stonehenge Stakes winner and Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes (G2) third Cobh. The son of Kodiac will stand for an unchanged fee of €6,000 in 2021.

Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes (G2) and Al Basti Equiworld Greatwood Greenham Stakes (G3) victor James Garfield had his first crop of foals born this year and will stand for €4,000 (from €6,000).

The son of Exceed And Excel who raced in the familiar Gredley colors was also a close second to Polydream in the LARC Prix Maurice de Gheest (G1) in 2018.

Rathbarry's four-strong roster is completed by the venerable Tagula, who will stand for a private fee this time around.

The son of Taufan is responsible for 29 stakes performers, including the top-class Canford Cliffs and the recently retired Limato.
