Woodbine Cancels Nov. 15 Card Due to Weather Warning

Thoroughbred racing Nov. 15 at Woodbine has been canceled due to the extreme weather warning for Toronto issued by Environment Canada, Woodbine Entertainment announced Sunday.
The decision to cancel the card was made out of an abundance of caution and in the interest of everyone's safety after monitoring the weather forecast closely, Woodbine Entertainment said.
The CA$100,000 Frost King Stakes, a 6 1/2-furlong dash for Ontario-sired 2-year-olds on the all-weather surface, will be rescheduled.
Trainer Mark Casse, who is one win away from notching a milestone 3,000th career victory, had six horses entered Sunday, all at Woodbine. His next scheduled runners will be at Woodbine, Churchill Downs, and Gulfstream Park West Nov. 19.
Thoroughbred racing will return to Woodbine on Thursday.
