Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the situation and impact it has caused all around the globe, especially in Latin America, the OSAF (Organizacion Sudamericana de Fomento del Sangre Pura de Carrera) board has resolve — in agreement with sponsor Longines — to postpone the running of 2021 Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano (G1) and Longines Cup (G2) from a run at Monterrico in Peru in late March to Oct. 24, 2021 at Hipódromo Nacional de Maroñas, Uruguay.

This decision has been taken in line with OSAF ́s intention to organize the race and series of related events in the best possible conditions, ensuring that the highest quality standards are met at all time, and also ensuring the participation of the best competitors and the attendance of renown international guests from the racing industry.
