Santa Anita Park’s Big ‘Cap is this weekend, and the Great Race Place is the track to see and be seen at this Saturday as some of the top horses in the country go head-to-head to try to capture one of America’s most historic races. Horses from Seabiscuit to Game On Dude have won the Big ‘Cap (which is actually called the Santa Anita Handicap; the race is so cool that it even has a nickname.) I’m here to help you dress for success for Saturday at Santa Anita without busting your budget.

Our first look centers around a Pacific blue dress- perfect for racing on the West Coast! This version is $29 from Triple Meter, and I love the swoop of the halter neck. I added a fabulous peacock feather hair clip for $14 from Etsy, a pair of $13 pearl earrings from Loris Shoes, a statement bangle for $20 from Express, a fabulous Kelly green handbag for $44 from Accessorize.com, and a pair of gold sandals for $35 from Express. All together, this look comes to just $155 – that leaves you plenty of leftover cash to play your favorite ponies!

Our next look incorporates the rockabilly vibe of downtown Los Angeles into a perfect racing ensemble. I started with a gorgeous $84 orange swing dress from Lady V London. I added $80 wedges from Charles David, a straw purse for $67 from Straw Studios and a $60 feather fascinator from Navabi. Finish everything off with a statement necklace for $17 from JC Penney and a dash of bright red lipstick for $6 from NYX and you’re off to the races for just $314!

Our final outfit revolves around this adorable skirt ($39, ChicWish) and aubergine-hued top ($9.90, Choies.) Since the colors of the skirt and shirt are so vibrant, I opted for simple black accessories like these booties for $50 from DSW. I added this killer $50 Black Five handbag (which will probably go with 90% of all of your other clothes, so I love it!) as well as killer pair of shades for $40 from Daily Look. This Rebecca Minkoff horsefly ring ($78) is perfectly cheeky for the races, and of course Santa Anita is the perfect place to rock a wide-brimmed hat! This one is just $17 from Charlotte Russe. All in all, this entire ensemble costs just $283.90, so you can plan on buying some cocktails and making a few Big ‘Cap bets while you’re at the track!
