Well-Related Robiano to Start Stud Career in Italy

Robiano's dam Reggane wins the 2010 E. P. Taylor Stakes at Woodbine
Italian breeders have a new son of Dubawi to choose from when compiling their mating plans with Robiano set to stand at San Paolo Agri Stud near Rome.
Robiano was bought by Alain de Royer-Dupré for €350,000 (US$446,600) as a yearling from Arqana and he won a maiden as a 3-year-old for a partnership between San Paolo and his breeders, Haras de la Perelle.
He went on to compete at conditions level before transferring to Ottavio di Paolo and running without much luck in Italy.
More significantly, Robiano is out of Perelle's fantastic Red Ransom mare Reggane, who was second in the 2009 Coronation Stakes (G1) at Ascot Racecourse and won the following year's E. P. Taylor Stakes Presented by Fly Emirates (G1T) at Woodbine.
Reggane has produced seven foals to date, the youngest of which is a 2-year-old Siyouni colt named Rancon Royale, now registered with Stephane Wattel.
Robiano doubles the stud's roster as he joins the smart Italian sprinter St Paul House on the books. He is being offered at a fee of €1,000 but there are further enticements for owners of black-type mares.
Robiano holds a 2-4-1 record from 27 starts—the final 19 of which were made on Italian soil. His career earnings are $32,244.
