Citing frigid temperatures, Oaklawn Park canceled racing Feb. 12. The cancellation, which followed training also being scrapped that Friday morning, came about an hour before the day's first race was to begin.
Oaklawn had already canceled its Feb. 13-15 programs based on a harsh weather forecast and rescheduled three graded stakes — the $250,000 Bayakoa Stakes (G3), $600,000 Razorback Handicap (G3), and $750,000 Southwest Stakes (G3) —for Feb. 20.
Live racing at the Hot Springs, Ark., track is scheduled to resume Feb. 18.
Also canceling racing Friday was Turfway Park in Northern Kentucky. A decision on the status of its Saturday card is expected midafternoon Friday.
Delta Downs in Vinton, La., has canceled racing and training for Monday and Tuesday.
