Mahoning Valley Race Course Adds One Program

Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course will add a racing program after requesting and receiving approval from the Ohio Racing Commission.
The added race card at the Austintown, Ohio, track will be Friday, April 3 and is a makeup day for the racing program that was canceled due to severe winter weather conditions Feb. 23. First post for the added racing program will be 12:45 p.m. EDT.
"We looked over our racing calendar and, after discussing the possible dates with representatives of the Ohio Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association, decided that April 3 is the best option available for our horsemen, customers, and staff," said Mark Loewe, vice president of Ohio racing for Penn National Racing.
In addition to the special Friday card, racing is conducted on a four-day-a-week schedule, Mondays-Wednesdays and Saturdays, with a first post of 12:45 p.m. EST
